#### 🚀 Exciting News from OpenTPS! 🚀

We are thrilled to announce the release of OpenTPS version 2.0.0! 🎉

This major update brings a host of new features, including:

- PHOTON Dose Calculation and treatement planning
- 4D robust optimisation and evaluation
- Updated GUI to seamlessly integrate with the latest features

## Release notes:

Add photon dose calculation, 4D optimization, general refactoring, new features, adaptation to current library version and bug corrections.

### New Features :

[Processing/Optimization] :

- Photon dose calculator added: New class ‘CCCDoseCalculator’ for Collapse Cone Convolution dose calculation algorithm using WiscPlan Engine. Added examples to illustrate photon dose calculation.
- Classical optimization, robust optimization and evaluation for photons.
- Several range shifters in the same plan possible. Added an example to illustrate.
- Possibility to merge several structures for the target.

[IO] :

- Import of bdl with multiple range shifters possible
- Photon datas exporter/importer.

[GUI] :

- Photon features added.

### Bug Fixes :

[IO] :

- Resolved data export issue to DICOM files.
- Save and import 4D mhd datas.
- Export differents range shifter for a plan.

[Processing] :

- Refactoring of the MKL and GPU acceleration.

[Data] :

- New material added: Brass composed of CuZn39Pb3.

[GUI] :

- Fixed bug related to inability to delete patient datas.

### Improvements :

[Processing] :

- Various new examples.
- New PlanDesign attribute ‘ROI\_cropping’ to decide whether to cropped  
Beamlets.

[Data] :

- New material added: Brass composed of CuZn39Pb3.

[GUI]:

- Possibility to change the number of fractions, the isocentre, see the slice number.

### Other Changes:

- Update to python 3.11.
- Refactor Ions into Protons.
